A wiseguy American hustler muscles in on the wrestling underworld of London, but is soon out of his depth.
2 years after the excellent The Naked City and some 5 years before Rififi, this noir-ish Dassin outing has some good-looking (especially night-time) footage of London.
What is it though about film noir that is quintessentially American?
