Echoes of Drive here; when the action 'suite' ends however, a serious, lengthy rumination on law and order, justice and privilege begins.
Not quiet as dramatic a swerve as in, say, Lost Highway, but nevertheless 'two films in one'.
A fairly good film, and further evidence that the stars of Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper are not waning.
