Articulates very well the confusion, delusion, aimlessness and humility of being an impoverished, lower middle-class, mid-late twentysomething out-of-towner struggling to find a place in the big city.
Hard to warm to these characters though. The fact that it's in B&W seems incidental, and the trailer paints it up to be better than it is. Among other things, the source of film's title becomes apparent at the end.
Interestingly, it was moved from small screen 2 to the main screen 1 of QFT as sales for/interest in Only God Forgives is such that the swap is viable and necessary.
Watchable, but slightly disappointing.
