Before Midnight (US, 2013)

The latest installment in what's now Linklater's Jesse/Celine trilogy.

Our successful couple now have 2 small girls, are approaching middle-age and must grapple with children from previous relationships, major work/life decisions and their own relationship while holidaying in idyllic Southern Greece.

As expected, it's a well-produced, not unoriginal, articulate romance with some interesting philosophical etc fat chewed.

Once would have found this film heart-warming, uplifting and life-affirming and left the cinema with a spring in my step, but now...erm, romance, love? That's just for films.
